Terms of Service

1. Who you are contracting with

Framejet is operated by Mirko Salvalaggio (“we”). By creating an API key or calling the API you accept these terms.

2. The service

Framejet renders screenshots of publicly reachable web pages over an HTTP API and an MCP endpoint. Your email address is your account — there is no password. Whoever controls that mailbox controls the account, so keep it secure.

3. Acceptable use

You may not use Framejet to:

• capture content you are not authorised to access, or circumvent authentication, paywalls or access controls;
• run volumes that degrade a target site, or anything amounting to a denial-of-service;
• capture unlawful material;
• resell raw Framejet capacity as a competing screenshot API.

We may suspend a key that threatens the platform or a third party. Where it is reasonable to do so, we will tell you first.

4. Your data and other people's data

When you capture a page containing personal data, you are the controller and we process it on your instructions, as described in our Privacy Policy. You are responsible for having a lawful basis for what you capture. Captures are cached for 7 days and used for nothing else. If your organisation needs a signed data processing agreement, contact founder@framejet.dev.

5. Plans, quota and billing

Usage is measured in credits: a screenshot costs 1 credit and a goal 10 credits per block, up to the maximum you set for that request. Free accounts stop serving once the monthly credits are used. Paid plans are sold through Lemon Squeezy, which is the Merchant of Record and therefore the seller on your invoice; they collect and remit any applicable VAT or sales tax. Plans are billed in advance and renew monthly until cancelled.

Credits reset at the start of each calendar month (UTC). A capture that fails does not consume credits, but the attempt still counts toward the limits published in the documentation. Cached captures do not consume credits. Plans bought before credits were introduced keep the terms they were sold on. We do not refund partial months; cancelling stops the next renewal and your plan runs to the end of the paid period.

6. Availability

The service is provided “as is”, with no uptime guarantee on any plan. Screenshot rendering depends on third-party websites we do not control; a target that is slow, blocking automated traffic, or offline will fail, and that is not a defect in the service.

We are not responsible for a failure or delay caused by events outside our reasonable control, including outages of our hosting, database, email or payment providers, network failures, attacks on the platform, and acts of public authorities.

7. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the three months before it arose. Within the same limit, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including lost profit, lost revenue, lost data, or the cost of a substitute service. Do not rely on Framejet as the only copy of anything: captures are a cache, not storage. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including liability for wilful misconduct or gross negligence. If you are a consumer rather than a business, your statutory rights are unaffected.

8. Indemnity

You decide which pages are captured and what is done with the result. If a third party brings a claim against us because of what you captured, how you used it, or your breach of section 3 or 4, you will cover the resulting damages and reasonable costs, including legal fees. We will tell you about the claim promptly and let you take part in the defence. This section does not apply to consumers.

9. Termination

You can stop using Framejet at any time; ask us and we will delete your account and its data. We may terminate an account that breaches these terms. On termination, data is deleted as set out in the Privacy Policy.

10. Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes will be emailed to active customers before they take effect. Continuing to use the API afterwards means you accept the new version.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Italy, and its courts have jurisdiction — without depriving a consumer of the protection of the mandatory rules of their own country of residence.

12. Clauses you approve specifically

Under articles 1341 and 1342 of the Italian Civil Code, when you sign up you specifically approve these sections: 3 (suspension of a key), 5 (automatic renewal and no refund of partial months), 6 (no uptime guarantee and events outside our control), 7 (limitation of liability), 8 (indemnity), 9 (termination), 10 (changes to these terms) and 11 (governing law and jurisdiction).
